Most of the software I recommend and support is free of restrictive licensing terms: it's free of charge, and has other important freedoms.
I recommend free software including:
- Mozilla Firefox, a web browser, a safer alternative to Microsoft Internet Explorer
- Mozilla Thunderbird, an email client like Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail
- LibreOffice, an office suite like Microsoft Office.
